NetBSD/evbarm on Qnap TS-110のNFS rootでのブートメッセージ

NetBSD/evbarm on Qnap TS-110をNFSをroot filesystemにする方法が
分からなかったのだが、root device: とプロンプトが出た時に、
mvgbe0を指定してやれば良いと気づいた。

DHCPサーバーの設定と一緒に一連の流れを掲載しておく。
NetBSDでサポートしてほしくて、send-prもしてある。

root-pathを指定してあると、それを使ってくれるのは、NetBSD/hp700や
NetBSD/sparc64のnetbootと一緒だ。

TS-110でのNetBSDのブートメッセージ

Qnap TS-110のRTCは、I2CにつながったSEIKO S35390aだと
言う話を、

で読んだので、kernel configに、

TS-110のHDDなしの場合のブートメッセージ

SheevaPlug用のkernel config fileである、SHEEVAPLUGをちょっと改造して
TS-110に与えると、mvdsioがエラーを出して無限ループになってしまう。

そこで、もう一度ブートメッセージを見てみたが、HDDなのかSDカードなのか
分からなかった。
そこで、HDDを外してから、ブートマッサージを見てみた。

結果としては、sdioはないと思われる。
なので、kernel configからは、mvsdioは外して続けよう。

TS-110のブートメッセージ

NetBSDを動かそうと画策しているQnap TS-110にシリアルコンソールを
つないだ。
VCCをつなぐと暴走(?)して、パワースイッチで起動しなかったり、
RXとTXをつながないで、RX-RX、TX-TXとしてしまってはまったりしたが、
無事にブートメッセージ(dmesgなど)を見ることができた。

ピンヘッダーは、TTL-232R-3V3とブレッドボードをつなぐのに使う。
JST PHR-4用端子のケーブル側は、ちょっと細いがブレッドボードに
ささるので、そのまま挿す。

実際の接続は、

にある通り、前面側からGND、RX、VCC、TXの順なので、
GNDをTTL-232R-3V3の黒(GND)に、
RXをTTL-232R-3V3の橙(TXD)に、
VCCはつながずに、
TXをTTL-232R-3V3の黄(RXD)に、
それぞれつなぐ。
カメラを忘れてしまったので、写真は取っていない。

配線までは分からないだろうが、現状の接続状況の写真を撮ったので掲示しておく。


console側のNetBSDマシンでは、

として、待っている状態で、電源を入れると、以下のような
